Cape Echizen
This cape, selected as one of Japan’s top 100 places to watch the sunset, is located in the northernmost part of Echizen Town. The scenic area features many reefs created by marine abrasion. Some of its most famous sites include the kochomon (a natural rock tunnel) and torikusoiwa (a massive 100-meter tall cliff). The observation deck has a great view of Echizen Suisen Land and the Sea of Japan. Sunsets at the cape are an especially stunning.
