This facility is part of the Uminpia Oi leisure complex where there is all sorts of fun to be had. The view from the Roadside Station offers a panoramic view of Wakasa Bay. It is popular for the sales area where you can buy seafood freshly caught offshore from Wakasa, seasonal vegetables, rice, fruit and flowers directly from producers, as well as local specialities and an 80-seat food court with a view of the sea. The gelateria, where gelato is made with fruit and vegetables from Oi-cho and milk from Fukui Prefecture, comes highly recommended.

海の見える道の駅

道の駅らしく、地元の名産や野菜や魚、お土産などがあります。観光案内所もあり、近辺の観光についてパンフレットなどが置いてあり、受付の方もいらっしゃいました。フードコートがあり、ジェラートをいただきました。海を見ながら食事ができます。天気もよかったので我が家はデッキに出てジェラートを食べました。ジェラートは美味しいし、青空の下、波も静かで素敵な空間でした。

国道２７号線尾内交差点から進入すると、道の駅はどこにあるの-？と思うくらい広い敷地内にあります。緑地公園、こどもが遊んで学べる体験施設、ホテル、スパ、青戸クルージング乗り場に囲まれた道の駅です。観光案内所で周辺マップを手に入れ、フードコートでランチをとりました。毎年８月上旬、[スーパー大加勢]という祭典が行われるそうです。
