Built based on careful research of Heian period gardens, Murasaki Shikibu Park is a park in Echizen with connections to the Heian Period literary great, Murasaki Shikibu. There is much to see, including the statue of Murasaki Shikibu, monument engraved with her songs, Tsuridono building, and Izumidono building, etc. Adjacent to the park is “Fujinami-tei,” where you can see more materials related to Murasaki Shikibu.

紫式部像が建つ寝殿造り庭園

国道２８号線沿いにある公園で紫式部を偲んで造られた寝殿造り庭園となっています。金色に輝く紫式部像が建ち庭園は池が配された美しい庭園です。紫式部が父藤原為時に従ってこの地に滞在したことにちなんだそうです。池に浮かぶ総檜造りの釣殿が特に素晴らしいです。

紫式部が滞在したことがあることをテーマにした公園です。寝殿造りと池に金の紫式部像が立ってます。公園には藤の花が咲いていて綺麗でした。
