Oshima Island
Oshima Island, the largest islet on the Echigo Coast, has long been called “the island of the gods” by the people of the region. It can be accessed from the mainland via the vermillion-lacquered Oshima Bridge. The islet is part of Echizen-Kaga Kaigan Quasi-National Park. This beautiful place, a mere 27 meters tall and two kilometers in circumference, is full of legends and mystery.
