Hakkaisan Ropeway

This ropeway can be found at Muikamachi Hakkaisan Ski Resort, approximately 20 minutes by car from the Kan-etsu Expressway's Muikamachi Interchange. Its charm lies in the 360-degree panoramic view from the gondola. Especially in the fall, it is a well-known sightseeing spot for people wanting to see the autumn leaves, which cover the whole mountainside. The ropeway stretches from the station at the foot of the mountain at an elevation of 376 meters, to the mountain peak station at 1,147 meters. In the mountain climbing season, it is also possible to climb to the peak of Mt. Hakkai, one of Echigo's three peaks.

１1月５日に行きました。昨日の寒波で頂上駅は１５センチほど雪が残り、おかげで紅葉と雪が一緒に見られラッキーでした。なお、車椅子でもゴンドラには問題なく乗れますが、駅構内の平な場所しか移動はできません。

八海山登山口の調査に出かけました。紅葉時期には少し早やかったようです。女人堂からは吹雪のようです。登山に行く方は冬装備が必要です。
暑いのは暑いけど、景色も良いので夏の避暑に。

昨年の夏、暑い日に訪れました。ロープウェイからの景色も、山頂からの景色も雄大で気持ちの良い体験ができました。山頂に上ってから、展望台までは歩いてさほど時間はかかりません。展望台まで行かなくても十分景気は綺麗です。特設でソリ遊び用のゲレンデがあり、お子様が楽しんでいました。眺めているだけでも涼しくて、避暑にちょうど良かったです。駐車場の売店でお土産も買えるし八海山のお酒のお土産も買えました。
