戦後の食糧事情の改善の必要性から推し進められた干拓事業。どのような場所にどのような経緯、どのような方法で事業が行われたか、政府側から見た事実が淡々と述べられています。大きな年表には明治期までさかのぼり干拓の歴史が書いてあります。その途中減反政策などの文字もありますが、その結果どうなったかについては展示されていません。
