This soba buckwheat noodle restaurant is located in Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture. Opened in 1923, they provide tsuyu (soup base) using high-grade bonito flakes and soba buckwheat noodles using flour from Iwate. It is known as a wanko soba restaurant, and your bowl is endlessly refilled until you close the lid. The poet Kenji Miyazawa is also said to have been a customer at the time of its establishment, so there is a Kenji Set on the menu which includes the tempura soba and Mitsuya Cider he used to order.

あんまり美味しい物では有りませんがつけ出しが効いていないので味に決めてが無くて、残念でも、話題性だけなら大変楽しい物でしたお椀を並べて感心出来たりと、思い出にはなります珍しい経験にはなりました
わんこそば面白い・・・でも、長時間待たされるかも

エンターテインメントとしても楽しめるわんこそばおすすめです。ただ、長時間待たされるかも・・・食後に新幹線等の予定がある旅行者はちょっと注意です日曜日の13時、事前に予約をしてわんこそばを体験まず、混んでいるからと入口で２０分席に案内され、既にわんこを始めるセッティングが・・何組もその状態で待たされていて。。わんこが始まったのは13時50分少々、「お預け」状態が長いわんこそばでした...
