Roadside Station Yamada

This roadside station is in the town of Yamada in Shimohei County, Iwate Prefecture. It sells special products from the Sanriku area, processed goods using marine products and shiitake mushrooms, and souvenirs. In addition, there are snacks such as frankfurters and French fries and also ramen, udon and soba noodles in the cafeteria, making it a spot to take a rest and eat.

宮古から釜石に行く時国道沿いにあります。高速道路を通るとここには行かれません。近くに、牡蠣小屋や、鯨館などもあります。

カツカレーを注文したら揚げるまで時間がかかると言われましたがそれほど待つこともなく揚げたてを食べることが出来ました。安いし良かったです。
国道沿いにあり、便利な施設

山田町のみならず、岩手県、三陸海岸のお土産品はなんでも一通りそろっています。なぜか、沖縄のpet飲料が充実していました。オーナーの趣味でしょうか？スイカなど交通系ICカードでの決済が可能なのが便利です。大型車駐車可能ですが、駐車台数が少なめなのがちょっと残念です。（普通車用のスペースは十分にあります）
