This municipal park in Yokocho, Nagai City has over 100 years of history. It features one of the largest collections of irises in Japan with one million flowers and 500 cultivars. Visitors can appreciate valuable varieties such as Nagai Koshu, said to be very close to the original Japanese iris species. The park has free entry except for during its Iris Festival held between mid- June and early July.
