Sakura City Museum of Art

The Sakura City Museum of Art contains a good collection of literary works with some connection to Sakura or Boso Area, and maintains exhibits that feature modern Japanese art which extend those works. It was built in order to preserve and utilize the old Kawasaki Bank Sakura Branch (a Prefectural Tangible Cultural Property) built during the Taisho period. There’s also a café inside where you can enjoy a hand-made meal and dessert using local ingredients.

大正7年に建てられたレンガ造りの旧川崎銀行佐倉支店

1994年に開館。江戸時代に文武芸術を奨励した佐倉藩11万石の城下町として栄えた中心地に位置し、大正7年に建てられたレンガ造りの旧川崎銀行佐倉支店（千葉県指定有形文化財）の保存と活用を考慮して建設された。

訪れた時には秋山庄太郎展をやっていました。美しい建物で芸術に触れるというのはいいものです。欲を言えば、こういった知名度のある方の展覧会をもっとやってほしいな。
外観が美しい

レトロな外観がとてもよかったです。こういった建築が他にも佐倉にはあるのかなと思ったのですが、ここだけでした。
