Hondo-ji Temple
"Hondo-ji Temple is a famous temple of the Nichiren sect that has been nicknamed ""the hydrangea temple"" and ""the autumn leaf temple."" In early summer, over 10,000 hydrangea plants and 5,000 irises adorn the temple grounds with their blossoms, and in autumn, about 1,000 maple trees turn a brilliant red and yellow."

- We loved the Sakura and the peaceful atmosphere. Don’t miss the gold top of one building. It is pretty stroller friendly too.

- If you wait too long way into December to see the Fall’s colors, don’t fret! Go to Hondoji which is just outside of Tokyo. We went in December 9th and still plenty of yellow, red and green colors...

- Beautiul hydrangea / ajisai flowers
- very nice place, not crowded at all so you can enjoy the flowers without any excessive noise, there is a field where you can hear crickets
