Hodosan Ropeway

Built on 497 meter tall Mt. Hodo, the Hodosan Ropeway connects the 832 meters between Sanroku Station at the foot and Sancho Station at the summit. During the five minute ride, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Nagatoro from the air. Starting with kanzakura cold weather cherries which reach peak bloom in late November, you can enjoy spectacular flowering plants here through to mid-June, including Japanese allspice, Japanese apricot, pheasant’s eye, cherry trees, azaleas, and rhododendrons. In autumn, the fall foliage is stunning.

自然を堪能できるロープウェイ

子供が宝登山小動物園を楽しみにしていたので、ロープウェイに乗りました。とにかく眺めが良く、子供は大喜びです^_^乗車時間は5分ほどでしたが、秩父の自然を堪能できます。山頂駅から眺める長瀞の街並みは絶景でした！
観光にくるにも良い

ロープウェイに向かう道に小山を登るところがあります。距離はさほどありませんが山道を登れます。別ルートで駐車場へ行く車が通れる広い道路もあります。好きな道を通ると良いと思います。長瀞駅から無料シャトルバスも出ているので、観光にくるにも良いところです。

「ばんび」号と「もんきー」号。もちろん機械は新しいものでしょうし、点検その他もしっかり行われているはずですが、何だか数十年前の雰囲気のロープウェイでした。なつかしい、と思う年代の方もいらっしゃるはず。小ぶりの５０人乗り。「感染が.....」と思いましたが、往き帰りともせいぜい１０人程度。しかも２分ほどなので、問題ないと思いました。
