Mizusawa Udon Shop Matsushimaya
This well-established udon shop built its shop in front of “Mizusawa Kannon” of Ikaho Town, Shibukawa City, Gunma Prefecture. You can taste “Mizusawa udon” here—one of Japan’s Top 3 Udons. Domestic wheat flour is mixed with salt and spring water from Mt. Mizusawa, and then kneaded for 24 hours to make the udon noodles with characteristic strength and soft touch. There are various ways to eat them, including “zaru udon” with soup or sesame seed sauce, or warm “kake udon,” as well as with pork, wild vegetables or kimchi.
