Lake Okushima
Lake Okushima behind Shima Hot Springs was formed during the construction of a dam on the Shimakawa River. This man-made lake is four kilometers around in size and is also a popular spot for viewing the changing colors of the leaves in autumn. On the shore of the lake is a day bathing facility “Shima Koshiki no Yu” hot spring connected to the Shima Seseragi Archive Museum, and on the other side is Inatsutsumi Seseragi Park, where visitors can relax.
