Takehisa Yumeji Ikaho Memorial

A memorial hall dedicated to the painter Yumeji Takehisa and situated on the Jomo-Sanzan Panorama Highway heading east from the onsen resort in Ikaho, Ikaho Town. The memorial hall displays Yumeji Takehisa’s pieces of work and artifacts in a number of different buildings including the Taisho Romantic Hall which resembles a warehouse, the Kurofunekan which was built to commemorate the donation of Yumeji’s masterpiece, Kurofuneya, and the Giyamanrou which displays Japanese glass from the Edo to Taisho periods. There is also a café where you can get a sense of the Taisho Roman style, and a museum shop.

入館料は本館と新館の共通券（一部解説付き）で2000円超と少々高めですが、その価値は十分にあると言えます。本館の展示はもちろん、新館の美しいガラス細工や細部に至るこだわりは必見です。竹久夢二ファンはもちろん、大正期のデザインに興味がある方にもおすすめです。
