Located in Ikaho, Ikaho Town, the Ikaho Kirie Museum exhibits wonderfully artistic paper-cutout works. As well as the permanent exhibition of works from members of the Ikaho Kirie Association, every four months a temporary exhibition of works by two members of the association takes place. Visitors to the museum can also have a go at the paper-cutouts themselves free of charge.

帰る日に時間の余裕があり、突然、思い立って出かけてみました。入館受け付けを済ませたら他に2名入ったばかりの方と合わせて5名で、切り絵についての丁寧な説明をしていただきました。さらに、個々の作品についての説明があり、最後に切り絵体験（無料/約30分）までご指導いただき満足して美術館を後にしました。是非、訪問してみてください。

小さな切り絵の美術館。入館料500円。切り絵に関する説明を丁寧にしてくれて、体験もさせてくれます。老眼なので手元がよく見えず苦労しましたが面白かったです。泊まったグランドホテルから歩いて行きましたが、けっこうな坂道なので帰路は疲れました。

切り絵について、スタッフさんがひとしきり説明してくれます。こちらでは館長の大御所作家さんの方針で、基本的に「黒い紙をパーツ分けにならないような構成でカッターナイフで切り抜いて白い台紙に貼ったもの」しか扱わないそうで。ただ、そういうシンプルな縛りをかけることによって、構図や下絵の巧拙での勝負がメインになります。展示作品はいずれもモノクロ写真のような凄みがありました。３０点程度の作品が展示してあ...
