Sobadokoro Shinkyoan
A soba restaurant located close to Tobu Nikko Station. The restaurant operates out of the first floor of the Nikko Bussan Shoukai, a building originally constructed as a souvenir shop for the Kanaya Hotel. The historic building is a nationally designated Tangible Cultural Property. Many of Shinkyoan’s dishes are made with yuba tofu skin, a Nikko specialty. Try the standard yuba-sashi tofu skin sashimi, and the agemaki yuba deep fried tofu skin rolls. There’s also soba noodles topped with a hearty portion of yuba. Particularly unusual is the yuba ramen—ramen topped with agemaki yuba.

- Good local soba with yuba
- The yuba (beancurd) is a local food here. They put it in all their dishes or u could eat it just by itself. Its a nice, clean and refreshing food. Good for vegetarians.

- Quick ramen near Shinkyo Bridge
