Former Residence of Yoshida Family – Aisho Sanao

Historical Monument
Founded in 1792, this manor belonged to Yoshida Naobei, who achieved great success as an indigo merchant. You can get a glimpse of that prosperity in the five structures surrounding the central garden, like the storehouse and the main building. Open to the public as a City-Designated Cultural Property. Every January a flower-arranging exhibit called “Udatsu-wo-Ikeru” is held.
