Tosa Cuisine Sawachi Cuisine Hon-ikezawa

This is a local cuisine restaurant opened in 1925 by a well-established fish shop, located in Honmachi, Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture. As well as fresh seafood from Kochi Central Wholesale Market, the restaurant boasts cuisine using ingredients from the mountains and the seas of Tosa. The main specialty is a Tosa dish “katsuo tataki-seared bonito,” It is a traditional dish where the raw bonito is seared over strong heat served with plenty of condiments with the delicious flavor of days gone. Sawachi ryouri, assorted local seasonal cuisine served on a large plate is also popular.
