Roadside Station Kounan Rakuyu

You’ll find this rest stop along Prefectural Route 13 Miki-Ayakawa Road in Konan Town, Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. It’s a popular spot with a natural hot spring that’s perfect for day trips. There’s the “tree bath” made of white cedar, and the “stone bath” made of granite and “Aji” stone. Both are spacious and alternate between men and women on a weekly basis. Inside the building, there’s a souvenir area that has famous items from all over Kagawa Prefecture, as well as a restaurant, a morning market that sells fresh vegetables and flowers, and more. Visitors can enjoy the waterfront scenery year-round at the nearby Okami Water Park.

飛行機待ちの温泉入浴

おみやげショップ、レストラン、軽食コーナーのほか産直施設で野菜や魚介類も販売していました。特に、讃岐うどんと麺つゆは豊富にありました。空港に近いので搭乗までの時間調整に日帰り温泉を利用しました。浴場は広々として開放感があり、大浴槽、立湯、打たせ湯、足湯、サウナ、水風呂、低温風呂などバラエティーが豊富で、露天風呂はジャグジーになっていました。温泉は弱アルカリ性で、肌にしっとりとなじんで癒されました。

飛行機の出発まで時間があるので、時間調整に立ち寄りましたが、温泉施設が改装中ということで閉まっていました。レストランが開いていました。3月6日より温泉営業再開という看板が出ていました。道の駅としては、特筆するものはありませんでした。

うどん食べ歩きの途中に地図を見ていて発見して「一時間程腹こなし」にいいかな？とコースを変更して寄ってみました。温泉は「道の駅」の附随の施設でしたが改装中との事で入浴は叶いませんでした。残念。
