Wara-ya
This udon restaurant is next to the “Shikoku Village” folk museum in Yashimanaka Town, Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. It operates out of an old home with a straw-thatched roof built at the end of the Edo period, giving the interior an authentic Japanese feel. The “kama-age udon” is a popular option for the gentle texture and springiness of the noodles. Other well-received options include the “tokudai udon” for two and the “kazoku (family) udon,” which comes in a large tub. The broth, with its secret dried sardine-base, and the freshly fried tempura make a great combination.
