This udon noodle restaurant in Kagawa-cho, Takamatsu City in Kagawa Prefecture is famous and has been featured on popular TV programs. It is known as a restaurant that always has a queue outside on weekday lunchtimes, not to mention weekends and holidays. The udon noodles are made very early every morning from a special flour which is a blend of a several different types and salt water and their characteristics are the smooth surface and strong firmness. Each freshly-cooked noodle has a prominent edge which gives a firm, al dente texture. The most popular dish is the Kakiage Oroshi Udon topped with a giant mixed vegetable tempura.

名店。でもカレーうどんは平凡です。

オリーブ豚のカレーうどんを食べた。麺は讃岐饂飩らしく、太くふんわりし、コシがまずまずあった。汁は、さらっとして甘辛。鰹出汁がよく出ている。商品名になっているオリーブ豚は、薄切りで、硬いのもあるし、柔らかいのもある。食感がまちまち。不味くないけど、感激を呼ぶ味ではない。味のレベルは普通である。
空港まで車で10分くらい

空港への帰り道によりました。たまたまタイミングが悪かったのか、10分くらいかかりますと言われて、15分後くらいに食事がやってきました。空港に近いですけど、時間には余裕を持って。空港への道の途中にガソリンスタンドもあるので、レンタカーの人には便利かも。大きなかき揚げと共にうどんは美味しかったです。

うどん食べ歩き三店目です。小高い山の道沿いにお店があります。店内は古民家風です。冷やかけをいただきました。うどんにはしっかりとした腰があります。程よい噛みごたえです。冷たい出汁は、いりこからのものでしょう。とても味わい深い美味しい出汁です。今年一番のうどん店です。あまりに美味しかったのでうどんの土産を買いました。６人前と聞いて帰ったのですが、どうみても３人前の量だったのが残念...
