Established in 1878, the Imagawa Gyokouen is one of the long-established stores of tea and tea making utensils. They make the rounds of Japan’s famous tea producing areas, examining the tea’s quality, flavor, and aroma. In spring and fall when the temperature and humidity are stable, they hold events and exhibitions in the storehouse that holds their tea. They serve some of the best matcha green tea anywhere. You’ll love this historic yet experimental shop. They are a 5-minute drive from JR Onomichi Station.

お茶や茶器は豊富なるも猫マークのお茶は少なし

いろんな種類のお茶や茶器の品ぞろえは豊富でしたが、今回目当てである猫が描かれた「尾道紅茶」を探したのですが、こちらの種類は少なく断念しました。尾道駅直結のデパ地下やセブンイレブンの方が豊富に置いてあったので、この紅茶なら駅前の方が良いかも。尾道千光寺ロープウエイ参籠側乗り場から線路を越えて商店街に入ったら左折、アーケードが終わって最初の道を右折して直進右手。尾道駅からだと長江口バス停下車、徒歩だ...
