大山祇神社前にある日本画の美術館。大展示室のメインを飾る加山又造の火の島は桜島をモチーフにした襖絵。赤と黄色の色調の華やかな雰囲気で、美しい情景がそのまま写し取られているよう。ほか、田淵俊夫記念展示室の作品も落ち着いた正統派の作品です。

大三島の大山祇神社の向かいにあります。バス停の前にあり、バスのまち時間にもいけるロケーションです。ガラスばりの広くて明るいロビーがあり、ロビーまでは無料で入館できます。椅子があり、wifiもつかえます。

しまなみ海道へ行っていた時、大三島の大山祇神社へ立ち寄った際、そばにあるこちらの美術館へも行ってみました。新しい作家から人気作家まで日本画が多く有って楽しめました。
