福屋八丁堀本店は、広島の地元の老舗デパートです。私たちは広島に着いた前日に、広島駅前にあった福屋を訪れていましたが、こちらが本店なんですね。複数の棟で構成されているように見えたので、時代に合わせて大きく成長してきたのでしょう。開業は昭和４年という、歴史あるデパートです。全国の地元の老舗デパートは、各地で消滅する時代になっていますから、ぜひ、頑張ってほしいと思いました。

地下の食料品売り場にお邪魔目的は今回も「呉メロンパン」のパンを買うこと呉までは行けないので市内で買える福屋さんは重宝しています種類も多めにあるので呉メロンパンファンとしては有り難い存在のデパ地下です！
「みっちゃん」がありましたが・・・
