Tomonotsu Museum

This is a museum located in Tomo Town, Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, which was opened in 2012 after renovating an over 150 year old cellar. The museum was made to express art brut (outsider art) which is a form of art not influenced by existing conceptions, and most of the exhibits are by artists who have not received professional art education. Many art works in the museum are innovative and “raw art” closely connected to the local community. Also, the historical grand ceiling cannot be missed.

小さな美術館

小烏神社の鳥居の近くにある小さな美術館でした。ミュージアムというので博物館かと思っていました。建物は土蔵で中はわからないので、中にはいって美術館なのがわかりました。展示は地元に関係のある美術展示が中心で、個人的におもしろいと思ったのは、鉄道模型の展示ぐらいでした。

築150年の古い蔵を改造して作った美術館です。よく知らずにふらっと入って見ました。型破りのアウトサイダーミュージアム。アールブリュットと呼ばれる不思議な美術館でした。内容は好みが有りますので、ご自分の目で見て下さいね。靴を脱いであがります。木のぬくもりのある、少しでこぼこのある床。太い梁の古い蔵。それだけでも見る価値はあります。入場は無料でしたが、余裕のある方は、お気持ちでもよろしくお願い致します...
