A daifuku (sweet bean pasted-stuffed rice cake) shop located in Innoshima Ohashi Park on Innoshima Island in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture. The shop’s Hassaku daifuku, an Onomichi specialty, are particularly renowned, and fans from around the country come here to enjoy them. Hassaku daifuku have a fresh flavor and are made Hassaku oranges stocked from contract farms on Innoshima Island and Ikuchi-jima Island wrapped in shiroan white bean jam covered with mochi glutinous rice. The shop also sells a variety of other fruit daifuku such as seasonal strawberry and grape daifuku. The shop has an eat-in space with free coffee and a view of Innoshima-ohashi Bridge.

ちょっと分かりにくい場所にあり、迷子になりました。レストランとして利用されていた施設を改装したような感じです。時期により、イチゴ、はっさく等の大福があり、店内で食べることもできます。

因島北インターチェンジから車で約10分走ったところにあるはっさく屋です。こちらのはっさく大福が行列が出来るほどに美味しいという噂を聞きつけ、話のタネに立ち寄ってみました。確かにはっさくと白あんのバランスが良く、美味しいと感じましたが、訪れたのが11月であったため、はっさくの時期ではないからか、当たりはずれがあり、中のはっさくがスカスカのものもありました。

名物はっさく大福以外にもいちご、豆大福があり、いずれも美味しかったです。ゼリーやおもちなどもありました。因島大橋のたもとのお店で眺めのいい環境でしたが、平日でコロナ禍でまだお客さんがまばらな時に行ったせいか、ちょっと寂れた感がありました。
