Keima Kamaboko Shoten
A long-standing kamaboko (fried fish cake) shop established in 1913 located a five minute walk from Onomichi Station. The shop’s renowned additive-free kamaboko are made with fresh seafood caught in and west of the Seto Inland Sea, including conger eel, silver white croaker, lizardfish, and squid. Each morning the owner carefully selects the seafood to be used and makes the kamaboko fresh according to an old-fashioned method. These famed Onomichi treats are redolent with the flavor of the fish and dashi stock used. You can eat your kamaboko in the free Komaya rest area across from the shop.
