Kura is renowned for its donburi, bowls of rice grown with the pure waters of Izumo topped with an abundance of delicacies from the sea and land of Shimane. The restaurant’s signature menu item is the shijimidon, which is piled high with shelled Lake Shinji basket clams flavored with dashi stock. This superb local treat gives meals the chance to enjoy rich, flavorful, plump and large sized basket clams. Other popular menu options include the sazanamidon topped with steamed shirasu whitebait, and the karubidon topped with Japanese wagyu beef.

新鮮な魚介類やお肉、とれたて野菜をふんだんに使った季節ごとの旬の料理が美味しいです。おすすめは、メインに味噌汁や小鉢が付いた定食です。

ガイドブックに載っていたので行ってみました。私は入口すぐのテーブルでしたが、奥にもテーブルがあるようです。しじみ丼を頂きました。味付きご飯のうえに佃煮が乗っているので、味が濃すぎるなあーと思いました。ごはんは白米の方がいいかな。

松江の中心地にあるお店でした。地元の宍道湖で獲れた大粒のしじみを活かしたシジミ丼は食べる価値があります。体に優しい食事となりました！！
