Zakka Higurashi

A gift shop adjoining the Zoshuku Iroha ryokan inn in Miyajima Town, Hatsukaichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture. The shop sells lifestyle goods assembled by the owner not only from local Hiroshima craftspeople but also artisans around the country who the owner personally visited. The large variety of Japanese crafts in the shop, created by hand one at a time, are diverse in both form and material, including ceramics, paper, cloth, glass, and iron. The shop also carries original merchandise designed with Miyajima themes such as torii gates and deer, and Zakka Higurashi is a popular destination for tourists to pick up souvenirs as well.
