Kaiseizan Park
Kaiseizan Park is an urban park centered round Lake Isuzu that was established in the early years of the Meiji period. Covering a large area of around 30 hectares, the Park has approximately 1,300 cherry trees, which are an impressive sight. There is also a rose garden, with around 810 roses belonging to 440 different varieties blooming in spring and autumn.

- 郡山市民の憩いの場となっている公園です。公園内には明確な仕切りはないものの、東側と西側に区分けされており、東側にはスタジアムや競技場などのスポーツ施設、西側には遊具や広場などの遊び場・憩いの場の施設があります。公園の近隣の住民が穏やかなひと時を過ごすために利用すること、郡山駅とは距離(2.5km程度)があるため休日でも公園内及び周辺は比較的静かであるため、とても過ごしやすいです。駐車場もあります...

- I made a visit here to see the Steam Locomotive that is kept here. Has a lot of room to walk and play around this park.

- Spent an hour walking round the park, came across an old steam engine as a display. Beautifully kept grounds, no that many people there, but on way back party of school children there, but well...
