A long-established soba restaurant founded in 1920. The handmade soba noodles made from the Murayama Dewa-kaori variety of buckwheat are characteristically thick and very chewy. The menu consists of only ita-soba which is soba served in a long wooden box. Guests can choose from two types of sizes, either one portion, or one and a half portions. The soba can be enjoyed with side dishes of herring simmered in miso, or an assortment of seasonal vegetables.

最上川三難所そば街道14番店。大正9年創業の茅葺きのお店。地粉を用いた太めの手打ちそば。メニューは板そばのみ。10割そばで硬めのお蕎麦は独特です。店内も風情があります。
十割蕎麦

噛むほどに風味が感じられる十割蕎麦です。もそもそ感は一切なくて、私の知る十割蕎麦とは全く違いました。蕎麦つゆの鰹の香りもよく、お漬物もピリリと鷹の爪が効いていて最高。鰊の味噌煮もあわせておすすめしたいです。
