Kogensya is a store located on a site extending from JR Morioka Station to the Kitakami River that specializes in traditional handicraft products such as Nambu ironware and Urushi lacquerware. The items on sale are not limited to Iwate Prefecture’s own specialty products; they also include handicraft products from all over Japan, including Okinawan glassware, Shusaigama-ware ceramics from Shimane Prefecture, etc. Kogensya’s founder, Oikawa Shiro, was a classmate of Miyazawa Kenji, the writer of children’s stories who is one of Iwate Prefecture’s most famous authors, and was involved in the publication of “The Restaurant of Many Orders,” a collection of Miyazawa’s children’s stories. Kogensya’s Majieru-kan building and Kahi-kan café both have many items relating to Miyazawa Kenji on display, making Kogensya a popular place for Miyazawa Kenji enthusiasts to visit.

宮沢賢治が注文の多い料理店を出版、中庭に出版の碑、資料館があります

いーはとーぶアベニュー材木町にある宮沢賢治との係わりの深い場所です。賢治が童話集「注文の多い料理店」を出版し、当時はほとんど売れなかった時代をともにした出版社。店の奥、中庭に、注文の多い料理店出版の地の碑や烏の北斗七星の石柱、原稿などの展示館があり、賢治との係わりの深さが感じられる場所です。訪ねた際は休館中でしたが、喫茶室もあるので、通りの散策の際、立ち寄って楽しんでください。

材木町の一角にあります。厳選した食器類や焼きもの類がおしゃれに並んでいます。雰囲気はとてもいいです。ここの喫茶店で出すお菓子くるみサンドが人気です。5つ入って800円くらいしますが、美味しいです。

盛岡駅から、開運橋通を渡り、岩手山に向かって川沿いを進みます旭橋が見えたらそこから、材木町です。館内には、可否館がありますウィンナーコーヒー 580yn、くるみクッキー155yn美味しかったです
