The Roadside Station Kuzuryu is composed of three areas—the Fureai Community Building, the JR Kuzuryuko Station, and the farmer’s market. It is center for tourism located at the gateway to the east of Fukui Prefecture. You can feel the warmth of trees here, easing away your stresses. The farmer’s market offers locally produced, specialty fresh goods at a reasonable price. Kuzuryu is brimming with charms.

土曜日の昼ちょっと過ぎに休憩で利用しました。何かイベントが近くであるらしく、多くの人出で混雑していて、小さめの売店のお弁当は売り切れ、トイレも列を作っていました。駅正面の親子恐竜は、動いたり、止まったりですが、なかなか楽しめます。

日に5本運行されているJR越美北線の九頭竜湖駅にある道の駅には、恐竜のモニュメントの横に小さな売店やコンビニ、観光案内所などがあり、峠を越えてきて一息つける場所です。高速が開通すれば寄る車が少なくなって、福井駅と同じように動いて鳴く恐竜のモニュメントを見る機会が減るのは残念です。

国道158号線沿いで九頭竜ダムにほど近い所にあり、休憩に立ち寄りました。トイレから出てくると、何の声かと思ったら何とシンボルの恐竜が大きな口を開けて吠えながら、リアルな動きをしているのにビックリ！又、当日は「九頭竜マルシェ」なる市が開催されていて、移動販売車も来て大変な賑わい振りで、地元の新鮮な野菜などがお値打ちに販売されていたので、つい里芋や大根を購入してしまいました。ちなみに隣接する...
