Yase Cliffs
The Yase Cliffs rise up to a height of around 35-55 meters above the ocean; it would be very easy to lose your footing on the cliffs, and they became famous as a location for the film “Zero Focus.” The footpath that runs along the top of the cliffs provides access to the site of the “Concealment of the ship of Yoshitsune” story, according to which Minamoto no Yoshitsune hid from his pursuers while escaping from Minamoto no Yoritomo by concealing his boat in a cove here.
