Roadside Station Nihon Showa Mura
Nihon Showa Mura is a Michi-no-eki (roadside station) located in Yamanoue Town, Minokamo City. Attractions include the “Nihon Showa Mura” (“Japan Showa Village”) which recreates a rural village and satoyama (community-managed forest) landscape as it would have appeared in the late 1950s and early 1960s, the “Showa Sento - Satoyama no Yu” (“Showa-era Public Baths - Satoyama Baths”), which are Showa era style baths, and the “Onsai-kan” hall and “Aozora Market,” which sell fresh vegetables grown by local farmers and other local specialty products. Nihon Showa Mura can be accessed directly from the Tokai-Kanjo Expressway, making it a great place to stop off at while you are driving, to experience the atmosphere of Showa-era Japan.
