Kappo Matsuuraya

This long-established Kappo restaurant is located in Murakami City, Niigata Prefecture. This famous restaurant serves Murakami specialty salmon and Murakami beef dishes. It is a perfectly Japanese-style building, with counter seats, slightly elevated seating, tatami flooring and an area for dinner parties. The restaurant serves a lunchtime salmon mini course, which is available all year-round, and allows customers to enjoy around five different salmon meals that have a history in Murakami dating back a thousand years. In the Autumn, there is a luxurious full course meal, which includes sets of sashimi and Hirako (fish roe). The Murakami Beef Amiyaki (grilling on wire net) Teishoku set meal, with seasonal side dishes, is also very popular.
