Shimada Suisan
A seafood shop and restaurant located in the Omi-cho Market in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture designed around the concept of a “manly fish dealer.” Aiming to serve only the most delicious items, the shop sells seasonal seafood exclusively selected for freshness, size, quality, and flavor. The shop’s seasonally changing selection of eye-catching goods can include Iwagaki oysters in summer, and sweet shrimp, blackthroat seapearch, and crab from the fall onward. The shop also sells unique items not found elsewhere in Japan, such as “kazu-ebi” shrimp, a cherished delicacy in the Hokuriku region; and “oni-ebi” shrimp, a variety highly prized by gourmands.
