Byodoji Temple

Temple
This is a temple in Miwa, Sakurai City. It was built by Shotoku Taishi with the name, Omiwa-ji Temple. The name was changed to Byodo-ji Temple in the Kamakura period when the holy priest, Keien was welcomed to the temple. The temple was affected by the anti-Buddhist movement in the Meiji period and became abandoned, however, in 1977 it was restored.
