Sabo Ofusa Tea House

This is a tea room inside the precincts of Kanon-ji Temple known as Ofusa Kannon, located in Ousacho Town, Kashihara City. Visitors can enjoy tea and sweets in the tea room situated in the center of a traditional Japanese garden designed as a strolling path. The tea house was built in 1915 in the goten-zukuri architecture style. The shaved ice, only available during summer, is also popular.

南門から入って広場・本堂・円空庭・放生池を経て百メートル以上の一番北側の庫裏の一角にある。朝早くて、開いている時間ではなかった。面白そうなのでまたの楽しみとしたい。

素敵なお庭を見ながら、風鈴の音を聞きながら、ふわふわのかき氷は絶品です。ミルク金時白玉入りと主人は宇治抹茶を食べました。ただ今回は、お寺の本堂？の座敷なのですが、別のテーブルのおばさん2人が大声でおしゃべりして長居していてせっかくの雰囲気が台無しでした・・・
