Daimon-saka Chaya
You’ll find this teahouse in front of “Meotosugi” near the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route “Daimonzaka” in Nachikatsuura Town, Higashimuro District, Wakayama Prefecture. It makes a great rest stop, and they even rent out Heian period clothing. They have “eboshi” noble headgear for men, traveling costumes for women, children’s clothing, and more in a variety of colors and sizes. You can get photos taken in costume and even walk to Kumano Nachi Taisha Grand Shrine while wearing them.
