Amakashi-no-oka

A 148 meter tall hill said to be the place where Soga no Emishi and his son, Soga no Iruka, had a residence in the Asuka period. The hill offers a sweeping view of Asuka and on clear days you can even see the Three Mountains of Yamato -Mt. Amanokagu, Mt. Miminashi, and Mt. Unebi. In spring, the cherry trees on the hill come into beautiful bloom.
