Matsujiro no Mise (Matsusaka Main Branch)
This honey store opened in 1990 as a company store for Mizutani Bee Farm. It is a seven-minute walk from JR Matsusaka Station. The large shop curtain outside is the store’s landmark. You’ll find honey from various periods and regions, all of it safe and high-quality, not to mention affordable. The “hachimitsu monaka ice” made from Mie-produced milk and glutinous rice from Niigata is popular. The honey’s sweetness is redolent of olden times. There are also limited-time seasonal varieties available.
