A long-established Japanese restaurant that counts more than 120 years since it was founded, the Yachiyo Main Store is located within the verdant Okazaki Park. Their kaiseki course cuisine that makes use of local production for local consumption is well-regarded, and among that cuisine they use the famous local Haccho Miso and Binchotan charcoal, and their famous Ki-no-Me Dengaku (a Japanese dish made of baked bean curd and served with bean paste and pepper leaf buds) grilled with the Yachiyo Main Store’s traditional technique is a masterpiece that can only by tasted here. It is approximately 10 minutes on foot from Okazakikoen-mae Station on the Meitetsu Nagoya Main Line.

岡崎城のなかにある老舗の和食レストランです。味噌田楽となめしが有名。年配の方なら絶対に外れなしだと思います。

岡崎城を見学して、岡崎公園内にあったのでお昼にしました。地元の名物の八丁味噌食べたいと思い、みそ田楽定食を頼みました。みそ濃いめで甘く、ご飯と食べるととても美味しかったです。

八丁味噌の本場・岡崎でお城観光の合間に伺いました。あいにくお刺身が無かったので天ぷら付きの定食を頂きました。味は濃いめですが焼かれた豆腐にマッチして美味しく頂けました。お吸い物が良いおすましでしんじょうと卵豆腐、ゆずなど上品で気に入りました。香の物（お漬物）三種盛りに味噌を紫蘇で巻いたものもあり趣向が凝らされていて、場所もお城の公園内だし贅沢な気分になりました。
