Yamatohime-no-miya

Shrine
Approximately 2,000 years ago, on the orders of the sun goddess Amaterasu, Yamatohime-no-Mikoto established the Inner Ise Shrine at the head of the Isuzugawa River. The Yamatohime-no-miya Shrine dedicated to Yamatohime was founded in 1923. Follow the path on the west side of the shrine guardian house to find a place for exorcisms, a purifying station, and a warehouse for ritual utensils. From the Ise Interchange on the Ise Expressway it’s about a three-minute drive.
