Tsukiyomi-no-miya

This shrine is dedicated to the same Tsukiyomi-no-Mikoto as the Inner Ise Shrine associated shrine Tsukiyomi-no-miya but is located in a shopping district in the center of Ise. This shrine has old connections to an ancient river called Okawara and farming in the area. The road that stretches straight from the Outer Ise Shrine’s Kitamikado Gate to Tsukiyomi-no-miya is known as the path of the gods and as such there is custom to avoid walking in the center of the road to allow the gods to pass. The shrine is about a 10-minute walk from the JR Iseshi Station.

外宮から少し歩くことになりますが，決して歩けない距離ではなく，折角外宮にお詣りしたのであれば，月読宮にもお詣りすると良いでしょう。
天照大御神の弟神

伊勢市駅JR側出口から徒歩7分ほど。伊勢神宮外宮の4つある別宮の一つ。正宮や他の3つの別宮とは異なる敷地に鎮座している。創建年不明。祭神は天照大御神の弟神である月夜見尊、月夜見尊荒御魂。社殿は木造萱葺で、伊勢神宮と同様に20年に一度遷宮が行われるため隣には古殿地がある。外宮と合わせて参拝するのがいいでしょう。
外宮の別宮

伊勢神宮外宮の別宮だが、外宮の参道からは少し外れているため、意外にも参拝者は少ない。私自身、前回、伊勢を訪問した際には、このお宮に気がつかなかった。境内は樹木に囲まれて、神秘的な雰囲気が漂っている。
