Ohyama-Afuri-jinja Shrine
Endearingly called Mt. Amefuriyama since ancient times, the name bespeaks the constant presence of cloudcover or mist at the mountain peak where it is located. 'Oyama pilgrimage' is a noted classical Rakugo act, and has been designated as a National Heritage by the Ministry of Culture. Also famous for its fall foliage, every year many visitors come to view the splendid scenery.
