Kouroan uses healthy ingredients and keeps the authentic taste of Japanese sweets while adding the flavour of Yokohama’s Motomachi, and its flagship product is a raw sugar dorayaki (a Japanese pancake). All of the seasonal dorayaki and fresh sweets are also superb. A visit to the second floor where there is a tea house is also recommended. It is three minutes’ walk from Exit 5 at Motomachi-Chukagai Station on the Tokyu Minatomirai Line.

黒糖どら焼きを買おうとおもっていたのですが、香炉庵本店さんは種類がおおくて、看板商品黒糖生地と甘さ控えめな餡にバターがはいったバターあんこで自分であんこはさんで食べるセットを販売していたので珍しくて購入。あんこは家でちょっと温めてたべたらぬりやすかった。ただ３人前が一緒にはいっているから一人どの程度あんこつかっていいのかちょっとなやむ

さくら道明寺は4月までの限定販売。こちらのさくら道明寺はビジュアルも美しいしとっても美味しい。こしあんがいいんですね。横浜本店の香炉庵だけど、もち米ベースの関西方式。桜の葉と皮でほんのりとした香りと少しばかりの塩味が上品なこしあんの甘さを引き立てる。生菓子だけど、一つ一つプラスチックのケースに入れてくれる。
クリームあんみつと抹茶のセットは最強

和菓子で有名な香炉庵ですが、店舗の2階にあるお店ではランチや甘味が楽しめます。元町を行きかう人たちを眺めながら、クリームあんみつと抹茶のセットを頂くのが最高です。
