Seigetsudo Ekimae Cake Shop
A well-established Japanese cake shop located just outside the Izu-Okawa Station that sells many kinds of sweets and cakes loved since the Showa period. Popular as an Izu souvenir is the cake which looks just like a turbo shell. This unique looking cake is packed inside with homemade sweet bean jam containing whole beans. The cake shop sells lots of other products that are loved as local snacks, such as butter flavored pound cake, and ‘Izu no yama’, a Japanese confection containing one whole chestnut, and many other homemade cakes too.
