This is a cafeteria inside the Mt. Omuro Lift Building at the foot of Mt. Omuro, the symbol of Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Open only for lunch, it is a popular place particularly with female diners and offers tasty food rich in the produce of the nearby mountains and sea. The menu is all standard vegetable plate/main/matcha green tea and tea cake sets. Here one can enjoy lunch including local fried-fish rice bowls and udon noodles with local vegetables all carefully prepared from the soup stock to the seasoning to even the bowls.

観光地のランチに雰囲気の良い店をと探してもなかなか見つからないものですが、ここは良い意味で完全に先入観を裏切られるお薦めスポットです。大室山観光リフト乗り場のある建物の中、土産物屋や切符売り場などと並んで佇む「軽食堂」と銘打ったこの店、リフト乗り場に向かう通路側の窓の隙間からは普通の食堂にも見えますが、入り口の木製の重厚な扉からは店内の様子は覗えず、気軽に入ることに一瞬ためらいをおぼえたのは事実...

大室山に行った際に利用しました。器もメニューもセンス良い感じです。メインとしてご飯ものかおうどんを選んで注文します。ちょっと値段が高めなのは前菜プレートとでが付くから。前菜プレートと一緒に、興味を惹かれる地ビールも楽しめました。わさびと麦とろ丼も美味しかったです。
